Cyndi Freeman is an abstract artist. 

During her 30 years of commercial, wedding and portrait photography work, she maintained a love and "quiet" pursuit of abstracts.

With her camera, she captures painterly and non representational images. It's not the momentary shutter release that makes her photographs speak,

but the years of experience behind that release. She searches around her world for a frame in time, which speaks to her and is here now to  speak to you.

For her drawings and paintings, she starts with the movement of lines from her wet hair. Next, she photographs the hair, photoshops, and projects the photograph onto archival paper. She then begins to create her art, using colored pencils, charcoal, graphite pencils, watercolor, and/or gouache.
